We support all levels and stages of software use, from complete beginner to advanced user, and for individual researchers and project teams.

Our workshops are customised according to your needs and accompanied by comprehensive documentation. Our workshops meet you where you are in your research process, whether you've yet to collect data or you're well into your analysis. Specialised sessions are designed to help you choose the appropriate software, plan your use of it, kickstart you into using it effectively, and move you beyond the early tasks of analysis. Types of workshops include:

Software overviews and comparisons (usually 2 - 3 hours)
: demonstration and discussion of selected software package(s) : discussion of key software features : suitablility of products and tools for particular research situations : comparison between products to enable informed choices : facilitates effective project planning

Get Started workshops & project setup (usually half a day)
: effective overview of software and familiarisation with basic tools : transcription advice and data preparation guidelines : targeted planning for teams or individuals : support with setting up a software project efficiently : focused on early tasks but raises longer-term considerations

Introductory software training workshops (usually one or two day workshops)
: thorough introduction to chosen software package : hands-on practice in common tasks : discussion of and planning for longer-term potential uses : work with sample or project data (depending on length of workshop)

Intermediate - Advanced software training (half a day or one day workshops)
: for existing software users : targeted support in moving beyond initial tasks : focuses on the systematic integration of analytic tasks and software tools : support the safe use of more spohisticated software tools : one-to-one discussion of individual needs with tutor(s)

Specialised consultations (time dependent on need)
: follow up sessions designed around your needs : "Project Days" - troubleshoot, brainstorm, or practice next steps : one off or continuing software-based project support : time purchased in pro-rated blocks and used as required in person, via email, and/or over the phone
